This project involved the refurbishment of a four-storey, double fronted, Grade II lisred Georgian schoolhouse and its conversion to offices for a successful photographic and web design company.

We were commissioned in February 2005 to carry out the work, having previously undertaken extensive development studies. The building had been significantly and unsympathetically altered, finally being converted to a workshop before lying vacant in a dilapidated condition for a number of years. The historic fabric of the building was carefully restored. New floors were inserted and two dilapidtaed single storey wings were demolished and replaced with timber clad construction to form a new main entrance on one side and storage on the other. The central door was retained as a feature and new Georgian-influenced concrete steps were added.

Naylor and Walkden were the contractors, and a Design and Build contract was used. The project was completed on time and within budget.
